1. Keep It Personal
This is your fitness journey. Make sure all your goals are geared to you and your needs. Don't set goals that have nothing to do with you. Stay focus on yourself!
2. Remember Why You StartedDon't set a goal, start a workout routine and forget why you started. It's important to remind yourself regularly. Keeping reminders in front of you help keep you on track. It can be something as simple as a photo of you when you first started or a favorite motivational quotes.
3. Find A Partner
Find someone who is willing to push and encourage you to achieve your goals. Having someone who helps hold you responsible can help keep you motivated and on track to achieving your fitness goals.
4. Don't Be Your Own Drill SergeantTake it easy on yourself! Remember, getting in shape for the first time can be difficult. You are going to face a lot of challenges. You are going to want to give up. But, it's all a part of the process. Be proud of the progress you make. It's okay to take things slow and at your own pace.
5. Stop Making ExcusesWe all go through it. We all have those days where we just don't want to do anything. It could be for the simple fact that it's raining outside, you had a long day at work, you got into an argument with your spouse, the kids aren't doing well in school, or whatever it may be. But, it's important that you stop making excuses for not getting yourself healthy and on track!
